So, my last review was, to say the least, a little sloppy.
Amidst my feverish desire to have a First Real Post, and specifically to review
Cloud Atlas, which I've now seen twice, I allowed myself to essentially vomit
words all over the surface of my computer and then, after a week of
procrastinating, finally published it. In the end, I very arbitrarily cut my
review down from an unreadable 1500 word mishmash to around my goal of 750.
What I've realized in the minutes since I published it is that it's still
vaguely nonsensical in a way that does not do justice to the film or to you, my
maybe four readers. From this point on, I've decided to add some structure.
Starting now-ish, as I review the Robert Zemeckis drug-drama Flight, I'll be
dividing my reviews into 4 sections: Preparations, Synopsis, Analysis, and Recommendations. Hopefully this'll make my reviews both more readable and more
fun for all of us. If you have any thoughts on how I can improve my reviews, or
on what movies I should see, old and new, please feel free to comment below.
